Summary of Offerings
Q & A Support Group
- Ask questions. I will offer positive parenting tools for your specific challenges, and help you troubleshoot the strategies you are already working with. Other parents will help you brainstorm as well.
- Find connection. These groups are small - 4 to 5 participants - so you will get to know each other. You'll feel safe enough to vent about your struggles, and be amazed at how helpful it is to simply be seen and heard by compassionate others. You'll find comfort in seeing how they are also going through parenting challenges, and your own skills and confidence will grow as you offer them support on their journey.
- Discover resources. We will not follow a curriculum or have homework assignments, but I will regularly direct you to helpful readings and videos.
- 6 Weekly Sessions of either 60 or 90 minutes. I offer daytime as well as evening options, but the precise schedule will be determined by participants of each group.
How to Talk So Kids Will Listen Workshop Series
The 8 class parenting series, How To Talk So Kids Will Listen, gives you the in depth know how you need to be more effective with children and adolescents, and more helpful to yourself. Concrete skills will help you cope with your child's negative feelings, engage his willing cooperation, discipline without hurting or alienating, help her develop a positive and realistic self-image, and foster a family atmosphere of love, respect, and fun. We meet on Zoom for two hours every other week, and we get to know each other over the course of the 8 sessions, because parenting is not meant to be done in isolation. Sessions fly by with a blend of lecture, large and small group discussion, practice worksheets/role-plays, and video. Optional reading and video assignments between classes give motivated participants the opportunity to dive deep into the ideas and practices of relationship based positive parenting. Importantly, the group setting holds each of us accountable for actually using the skills offered. Maximum 10 participants.

Siblings Without Rivalry Workshop Series
No need to go it alone when coping with sibling rivalry. Join other parents with the same frustrations. Learn how to reduce conflict and generate goodwill among all your children. The goal of our eight-class parenting series, Siblings Without Rivalry, is to help you help your children learn how to live together. Each session sensitizes parents to what it is that increases hostility between children and the attitude and language that decrease hostility. During each session, parents will learn and practice specific skills that help reduce friction and make harmony possible. Participants will also have the opportunity to take a fresh look at their own adult sibling relationships. Maximum 10 participants.
