Positive Parenting Boston Workshops

How can I interact with children so that they grow into the kind of people I hope someday they can become? How can I inspire children to behave in ways that make our lives easier today?

The skills presented here will foster strength, compassion, and intelligence in the children in your life, as well as teach methods of conflict resolution that will pave the way for a peaceful and loving relationship between adults and children.

Positive Parenting Boston workshops are presented by Cynthia Kriegman, whose prior work as a bilingual elementary teacher has led her to her current roles as parent and teacher trainer, as well as mediator and mediation training coach. Cynthia holds a Master of Ed. from Bank Street College of Education, where her research focused on collaboration, community building, & conflict resolution in the classroom. Her mediation training and interning were completed at Metropolitan Mediation Services (MMS), in Brookline, MA. Whether mediating in private or organizational settings, working with children, parents and teachers, or being with family, Cynthia's passion is to help people communicate in ways that help individuals’ needs be met while also helping relationships to flourish. Cynthia lives in Jamaica Plain with her husband, two sons and dog Chana.

Workshops are based on Adele Faber and Elaine Mazlish’s books and training series. Additional influences include Collaborative Problem Solving experts Stuart Ablon and Ross W. Greene, as well as Playful and Connection Parenting experts Patty Wipfler, Lawrence J. Cohen, and Laura Markham.
